As a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) I’m not your stereotypical therapist. I’m honest, genuine (“real”) with my clients, and like to use humor – even at my own expense. I use a holistic approach, provide a safe space, value diversity, and respect all individuals. My philosophy is to meet a person where they are at in life and walk with them, to guide and support, then part ways when no longer needed.

I do not believe a person should attend therapy for years and years – as I tell my clients, “I’m not meant to be in your life forever”. I have chosen to specialize my practice in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) because it aligns with this philosophy, and I have the freedom to use my eclectic approach to best help others.

I work with teens and adults, ages 13 and older in an outpatient office setting providing a safe space where people can set aside their masks and be their genuine selves.

I also hope to spread the knowledge of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) by training other professionals and non-licensed individuals in SĀF-T (Sensation Awareness Focused Technique) to help even more people than I can alone.

  • Certified Clinical Trauma Professional

Certified Master ART Therapist and National SĀF-T Trainer

    Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

MS in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University

Certified Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor Supervisor

    Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

BS in Psychology and Indian Studies from Bemidji State University

  • I began working in substance use treatment programs, however was limited in the help I could provide to clients so I returned to further my education and obtained my second license. While attending a conference focusing on addictions, I changed my schedule at the last minute to attend a lecture where there was also a last-minute change to include a speaker on Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I was instantly interested and started my path to complete the trainings to become a Certified Master ART Therapist and SĀF-T Trainer. I have also become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) to gain more knowledge and skills to help those with a history of trauma.
